Tuesday, they unveiled the first 55 names on their Veterans Wall of Honor. The project was started by the National Honor’s Society and 2021 and 2022 classes helped with the fundraising for the mural. Organizers are happy with how well the project turned out and how it will honor all the commodores that have served this country.

“Being from a military family myself, I understand from the family side the sacrifices that they make,” says Angie Bender, Perry’s Social Studies Teacher/Advisor for National Honor Society. “It really is a special calling and it is a great honor to be able to recognize and honor all of these men and women who have served.”

Bender says they have already started collecting more names of alumnus to be honored next year.
