Prior to Thursday’s Lima Board of Education meeting there was a public hearing in the cafeteria of South Science Technology Magnet School to discuss ideas for spending Federal Special Education Part B Early Childhood Funds.
Few people ever show up to the mandatory public hearing and tonight was no exception with only Lima City School personnel attending.
Much of the federal grant money goes to pay salaries.
About $1.6 million helps fund the programs for about 1,000 special education students in the Lima City School District.
