Saturday morning at 9 am will be the opening ceremonies, and the show will begin around noon with speed runs.

Last year, the Lima Area Radio Kontrol Society had over 25 flyers take part in their jet event, and they are hoping to have more pilots join them this year. These jets are models of military and high-performance jets. Some could reach 200 miles per hour. Members of the LARKS are inviting the public out to watch this weekend some of the fastest action in the sky.

“The hobby has really really come a long way with the electronics, radios, and the engines. I started the hobby in the early 60s and to see it progress to what it is. Anyone who has never been around out would be amazed at the sights and the sounds that they see if they come out and see the show,” says Ron Ballard, Lima Area Radio Kontrol Society.

Saturday morning at 9 am will be the opening ceremonies, and the show will begin around noon with speed runs. There is no cost to come and watch, and there will be food for sale starting at 11 a.m. The LARKS flying field is located 2 and 1/2 miles west of Elida on State Route 309.
