Fourth Congressional District Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) stopped in Lima to talk to the community about the issues.
Jordan gave a legislative update and took questions about topics that concern the people. He says that overall it has been a good year for the U.S., from the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch to the naming of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. While he has seen positive reactions from the business community on recent tax cuts, he says there is still more work to be done.
"It was a darn good first year;Â this year we need to continue to work on things that are gonna be good policies that are consistent with what the voters elected us to do like welfare reform," says Jordan. "That needs to happen, and then there's a concern that business people have and I think a lot of people have. It's this concern about this tariff issue on steel and aluminum. That's something I'm concerned about as well, and we got to work on that issue."
Jordan was also recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his commitment to supporting pro-growth policies. Jordan has a 93% track record of voting with the Chamber on issues.
