AMERICAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) – Another piece of the puzzle has been put in place for Project BOSC in northern Allen County.
On Tuesday, the Allen County Commissioners approved a roadway development agreement with the Allen County Port Authority and the developer of the new data center set to be located off North Cole Street in American Township. Allen County Engineer Brion Rhodes says the agreement is a proactive step to ensure the infrastructure keeps pace with current and future demands.

“We are trying to minimize the impacts, but then also work with the developer so that they can help pay for those costs, to make those improvements, to fix today’s traffic issues, but also the problems that will arise in the future as traffic grows, as ancillary businesses come in to meet up with those developers as well,” said Rhodes.
Among the proposed upgrades are potential roundabouts at the intersections of Cole Street and Bluelick Road, Beery Road, and State Route 115. The plan also includes widening North Cole Street to accommodate increased traffic volume.
