The investigation into his disappearance has been going on since Sunday, March 31st. Friends, family, and community members came together to organize a search for Bolen in and around the McGuffey and Alger areas. Family members are grateful for the outpouring of support they have gotten to find Bolen and to get answers to what happened to him.

“You don’t really expect something like this to happen in a small village like this; it just goes to show that it can happen anywhere,” says Barry Bolen, Mike’s brother.
“Everybody is wanting answers; everybody is wanting to find Mike,” says Charles Bolen, Mike’s brother. “And I tell you what, it's a big miss right now. Everybody knew Mike, loved Mike, and he would do anything for you, but a...”
“We are just thankful for everybody coming together to try and look for my brother; we appreciate that. We just put it in God’s hands that he leads us the way,” adds Barry Bolen.
“We hope that he could walk right in with us and be right here with us,” adds Charles Bolen. “It hurts, hurts bad.”

Hardin County Sheriff’s Deputies and detectives have searched the area for the last week, looking for any clues to his disappearance.
“We served a search warrant on the residences last evening. We're still working there today,” says Sheriff Keith Everhart. “Just trying to collect any clues or evidence that we can. Again, the main goal is to try and find Mr. Bolen and hopefully bring him back safe.”
