In Seneca County, a suspect is dead, a Sheriff's Deputy shot, and a victim stabbed, after a domestic dispute call Tuesday afternoon.
A release from the Tiffin Police says a woman called 911 around 1:30 p.m. saying her ex-boyfriend tried to pull her from her truck. She was able to get out of the truck and run away between houses before making the call. Police got a hold of the Seneca County Sheriff's Office to check the suspect's house on county Road 36, but he wasn't home. Minutes later, the Sheriff's Office got another call from the woman's home on North Tecumseh Drive after the suspect barged in and stabbed her son. She was then able to grab her son and go to a hospital. He's in stable condition.
The release says Tiffin Police and Deputies got to the home three minutes later and found the suspect inside with a rifle and scope. Then, a Deputy was hit with gunfire, and then the suspect was shot by law enforcement. Both the Deputy and the suspect were treated for injuries. The suspect later died from his injuries.
"It sounded like directly right behind my house so I didn't know if i should have gone...right, left back. God bless the people who protect and serve because it's a scary thing," said a neighbor.
The Deputy is listed in stable condition. Names have not been released yet.
