People in the area enjoyed the sounds of yesterday's hits in Faurot Park this weekend.

Local oldies band Someone's Kids took the stage for the third show of the Concerts in the Park series put on by the Council for the Arts of Greater Lima. The band played music from the '60s through the '80s from acts including The Beatles and Tom Petty, as well as The Temptations. The program has been a popular weekend attraction in the Lima area for over 50 years, in part because of the diverse sound it brings to the park.

"It's always a nice variety of music," said Bart Mills, Exec. Director for the council. "We work hard to make sure that we sort of have the diversity of musical offerings that we can find in local entertainment, and then also Faurot Park is just the most beautiful resource we have in this town. We have this wonderful Rotary Pavillion over here and it's just a really great place to see a show."

The next show in the series will be Mixed Vibes on July 14th. You can find a full schedule online at https://limaartscouncil.com/
