SPENCERVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) – If you’ve driven along South Conant Road outside of Spencerville lately, you might have noticed a large shark in one resident’s front yard!

For Halloween, Robert and Kat Greber transformed their yard into an aquatic nightmare inspired by the movie “Jaws.” Taking more than 10 hours to complete, the Allen County couple created props depicting the great white shark attacking beachgoers at Amity Island to commemorate the film’s 50th anniversary. The Grebers say decorating their front yard is a Halloween tradition that helps create lasting memories for the community.

"It's good. I like to see the kids, you know, people drive by and the kids look out the window and see it and they holler and smile, a lot of adults," says Robert Greber.

"Yep, a lot of the traffic will stop and slow up, back up, turn around and take pictures and videos and stuff, so it's good for our community. Our neighborhood loves it. They love it. We've been doing it a lot of years," says Kat Greber.

They’ve already picked out next year’s theme.
