St. Marys woman arrested in Van Wert after a multi-jurisdiction pursuit

The Van Wert County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of one individual after a pursuit through multiple jurisdictions. 

Jacquelynn E. Slone, age 28, of St. Marys, Ohio was arrested on one felony 3 count of Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer. 

According to Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach, a phone call was received early Friday morning from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office that the Rockford Police Department were currently in pursuit of a vehicle that almost struck a cruiser head on. 

Van Wert County Deputies were able to locate the vehicle on State Route 118 near Emerson Road, where the suspect nearly struck a vehicle head on. 

The vehicle drover over stop sticks on State Route 118 and Cooper Road, and continued into the City of Van Wert, where it eventually struck a sheriff's cruiser in the area of Rader Road and State Route 118. The suspect then attempted to turn onto Glenmore Road but lost control, went through a yard, and came to a rest on Glenmore Road. Slone was taken into custody by deputies.

The case remains under investigation, and further charges could be filed.
