It was an “EGG”stravaganza at Lima’s Freedom Elementary School on Tuesday.
Thousands of Easter eggs were hunted by the student throughout the day. The candy and toy-filled eggs were donated by parents and staff. You could see the excitement in the kids' faces as they opened their haul of eggs in preparation for this Easter weekend.
Freedom Resource Office Marissa Kennedy says, “We have 222 students enrolled right now. We’re making sure that every student can get the experience of hunting eggs for Easter. They’re really excited. Some of them have not experienced it so it’s just seeing that first impression and how excited they get.”
The youngsters were assisted by the Easter Bunny and even decorated their bags and baskets for Tuesday’s event.
