LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Around 200 people came on down to help Downtown Lima Inc. have another successful Game Show Extravaganza.
This is the second year for the fundraiser, which transports people back to the 1970s to play some versions of classic TV game shows with a twist. People had the chance to play “The Right Price” and “We’ll Make a Deal.” And if they were lucky enough to make it to the contestants' row, they could have won actual prizes donated by local businesses. The proceeds from the event help Downtown Lima with future projects and programs.
“All the proceeds tonight go to our wonderful programs, like the façade improvement grant, our business loan development grant, the holiday décor—it’s never too early to start thinking about that, our beautiful plant program, everything we do throughout the year is sponsored tonight," says Betsy Billingsley, Ex. Dir. Downtown Lima Inc.
Billingsley says they want to continue to make the event bigger and better. Last year, the winners walked away with a total of $15,000 in prizes.
