A two-car accident in western Allen County had three people transported to the hospital.
According to Spencerville Fire Department officials, a van collided with an SUV around the intersection of Spencerville and Conant Road. They said two people were trapped for approximately ten minutes and the jaws of life were used to free them. The three suffered serious injuries. Shawnee and American Township were called in for backup on the scene.
"We were dispatched to an injury accident with multiple entrapment," said Captain Rich Wilson of Spencerville Fire Department. "On arrival, two people were entrapped in the vehicle. Extrication was approximately ten minutes. Three people were transported. I would say it was serious injuries, nothing life-threatening, but I would say it was serious injuries. I believe all three were transported to St. Rita's."
The accident is under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff's Office.Â
