Sheriff Matt Treglia was sworn in for his new term as Allen County Sheriff after being re-elected in the November election.
Treglia was sworn in by Judge Jeffrey Reed after running unopposed for re-election this year. When he was first appointed, he says he made it a priority to set standards for hiring as well as establish a firm, fair, and consistent environment. Now that he feels he has accomplished that, Treglia says he plans on focusing on keeping his deputies' skills sharp.
"We're always continuing with training and things like for officers," said Treglia. "I'm always trying to hire the best officer that I can for the citizens of this county. We want to keep people safer, we want to do the job, and we want to be there for the citizens of Allen County."
Treglia also plans to focus on cleaning up and improving the jail in his next term as sheriff.
