Your commute on U.S. 30 just got a little faster. ODOT crews were out today changing signs along U.S. 30 from 65 to 70 miles per hour. The speed limit changes effect Allen, Putnam, Hancock and Wyandot counties. After legislation passed to allow 70 miles per hour on I-75, ODOT looked at other major roadways and considered changes. U.S. 30 from the Indiana line to Wyandot county will now be 70 miles per hour except for the U.S. 23 bypass around Upper Sandusky. Â ODOT reports that there has been no change in traffic patterns or negative effects from the speed limit change on I-75.
