LIMA (WLIO) — Lima Senior picked up its third straight win in dominant fashion, defeating Woodward 13-1.
Makenzie Castle led the way in the circle, striking out the side in the first inning and finishing with 12 strikeouts while allowing just one run and no hits over five innings.
The Lady Spartans capitalized early at the plate. Angie Kohlhofer and La’ree Gonzales both scored on wild pitches in the first inning to give Lima Senior the lead.
In the second, Kohlhofer added to the advantage with an RBI single to center field, bringing home Adriana Good.
Lima Senior stayed in control the rest of the way to secure the run-rule victory.
