A Canton woman was killed after running head-on into a semi early this morning.
28-year-old Brittney Shankle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Auglaize County assistant coroner.
Wapakoneta troopers say she was eastbound on U.S. 33 near Center Street, just after midnight, when she went left of center, running into the westbound semi driven by 42-year-old Brian Renshaw of Michigan. Renshaw was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. Shankle was not.
The crash remains under investigation.
