University of Northwestern Ohio responds to racist messages found on campus

The University of Northwestern Ohio is responding today to a disturbing Facebook post put out by a member of an overnight cleaning crew who is not an employee of UNOH. The person works for a third party contractor. The post was of pictures of what appears to be toilet paper rolls with swastikas, KKK, and the 'N' word written on them.

The university quickly responded to the post sending us a written comment, "What was found on campus is unacceptable and UNOH's Safety Services Department has been notified. This appears to be an isolated incident and safety services is investigating. This is grounds for dismissal from the university. At UNOH we value diversity and the content of what was found is reprehensible. Embracing diversity on campus has the positive potential to broaden thinking, enhance experiences and solve problems in a unique way. The university is committed to diversity and recognizes, embraces and seeks to enhance representations of diversity within its student body and family of employees.".

The Facebook post has been removed.
