10/31/19 Media Release from LPD on Wednesday night shooting: On 10/30/2019, at about 7:45 p.m., Officers from the Lima Police Department were dispatched to a shooting at 635 S. Metcalf Street. They arrived at the residence to find 47 year old Jermaine Ingram, shot inside of the residence. Mr. Ingram was transported to Mercy Health/St. Rita’s, where life-saving measures were attempted, however Mr. Ingram died shortly thereafter, as a result of an apparent gunshot wound. No one else was injured during the incident, which remains under investigation and detectives are following up on leads. Anyone with possible information about this incident is urged to contact the Lima Police Department at 419-227-4444, or CrimeStoppers at 419-229-STOP.
Your News Now at 11: Lima Police on the scene of a shooting incident earlier tonight(10/30/19), near South Metcalf. Details are still few but we do know officers were called to the scene on South Metcalf around 7:45 in the evening. Initial reports indicate one person was hit, but there has been no confirmation of that from authorities. As of just before Your News Now at 11, detectives were still working the scene. We will have additional information as soon as it's released by the Lima Police Department.
