Thursday December 26, 2024

0010 hrs. – Deputies responded to a commercial alarm on Middle Point Road in Ridge Township. 

0219 hrs. – Deputies while on routine patrol on John Brown Road in Pleasant Township located a suspicious vehicle at the Van Wert Storage Units. Two subjects were located on the property and arrested. Both subjects have been charged with Breaking and Entering, and Theft, both Felony of the Fourth Degree. Mercede Marie Jo Clark age 20 of Van Wert, and Nicholas Daniel Burgoon age 25 of Van Wert are being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility. 

0527 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Pleasant Township for a report of a disabled vehicle. 

0757 hrs. – Deputies took a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a dog that had occurred on Convoy Road in Union Township. 

0945 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Jonestown Western Road in York Township about of a complaint involving a civil dispute. 

1026 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Bowers Road in Union Township for a complaint of a loose dog causing property damage. 

1103 hrs. – Dispatched Wren and Ohio City EMS to a residence on State Street in the Village of Wren for a subject having a seizure. 

1130 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle. 

1138 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on North Main Street in the Village of Convoy for a subject with altered mental status. 

1436 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 33 in Willshire Township for a report of a disabled semi-truck partially in the roadway. 

1532 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle. 

1643 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Dull Robinson Road in Pleasant Township on a complaint of harassment and trespassing. 

1750 hrs. – Deputies along with Delphos EMS responded to a residence on Jennings Delphos Road in Washington Township for a report of two subjects that had passed out. 

1844 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Tully Township for a subject possibly having an allergic reaction. 

1846 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on College Street in the Village of Venedocia to check an abandoned 911 call. 

2047 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Willshire Ohio City Road in Liberty Township for a subject with hip pain. 

2241 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on North Washington Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject with abdominal pain.

0203 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on U.S. Route 127 in Pleasant Township to assist the Van Wert Police. 

0400 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on North Washington Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject with hip pain. 

0502 hrs. – Dispatched Wren EMS to a residence on Hogan Street in the Village of Willshire for a subject who is pregnant. 

0604 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Union Township for a complaint of reckless driving. 

0704 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Elson Avenue in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen. 

0857 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on West Main Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject was not feeling well. 

0956 hrs. – Dispatched Spencerville EMS to a residence on Masters Road in Jennings Township for a subject having a diabetic emergency. 

1114 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Tully Street in the Village of Convoy for a loose dog that was aggressive. 

1331 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Race Street in the City of Van Wert report of child abuse that had taken place in the Village of Ohio City. 

1352 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on South Street in the Village of Middle Point for a subject who had fallen. 

1850 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a report of subject exposing themselves to passing motorists. 

1948 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Wren Landeck Road in Liberty Township for a report of a subject walking in the roadway. 

2014 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Burris Road in Liberty Township for a report of a subject sitting in the roadway. 

2147 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on North Main Street in the Village of Convoy for a subject who was ill. 

2325 hrs. – Dispatched Delphos EMS to a residence on Wildwood Circle in the City of Delphos for a subject having pain and being disoriented. 

Saturday December 28, 2024 

0821 hrs. – Deputies along with Ohio City EMS responded to a residence on Willshire Ohio City Road in Liberty Township for a report of a deceased subject. The Van Wert County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. No foul play was suspected. 

0909 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen. 

1116 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on State Route 709 in York Township for a subject who had fallen. 

1257 hrs. – Deputies responded to the Van Wert County Humane Society Shelter in the City of Van Wert for a report of puppies that had been left abandoned. 

1404 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on State Route 49 in the Village of Wren for a report of theft from a vehicle. 

1815 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a report of reckless driving. 

2054 hrs. – Deputies along with Middle Point Fire and EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 in Ridge Township. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Sunday December 29, 2024 

0241 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a disabled motorist on U.S. Route 30 in Washington Township. 

0626 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point Fire to a smoke alarm at a residence on Normal Street in the Village of Middle Point. 

0756 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Towne Center Boulevard in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle. 

0954 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Hughes Road in York Township to issue a deer slip. 

1012 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of North Washington Street in the City of Van Wert for a report of a loose dog. 

1152 hrs. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for Community Control Violation. Jered Jonathon Raymond panning age 26 of Lima is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility. 

1222 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Dixon Cavett Road in Union Township for a complaint of unlawful eviction. 

1517 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a report of a protection order violation. The incident remains under investigation. 

1539 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on State Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle. 

1630 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Wolfcale Road in Harrison Township for a report of a disabled vehicle in the roadway. 

1754 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Slane Road in Hoaglin Township for a motor vehicle crash involving two deer, no injuries were reported.

 1929 hrs. – Deputies along with Ohio City Fire responded to an area of West Hoffman Street in the Village of Ohio City for a report of a box on a utility pole on fire. 

 2139 hrs. – Received a report of a working residential structure fire on Glenmore Road near Walnut Grove Church Road in Willshire Township. 2224 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Emerson Road in Pleasant Township to check an abandoned 911 call.
