Donna Holman is just one of the survivors that lived through the EF 4 tornado that swept through Van Wert claiming the lives of two people in 2002.
She says "the most important thing that she learned is to live in the moment, and be thankful for what you have."
that's not the only thing that people in the Van Wert community learned. When you look around there are constant reminders of what once was.
Rick McCoy, the emergency manager of Van Wert County, has prepared the community if a tornado like the one in 2002 was to ever happen again.
McCoy Says "Remember that when you hear the tornado sirens to take the warnings seriously and take shelter as the storm passes".
