LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Honest communication is a must in the transition of roles in a family business.
That is from Ann Welly who is the president of All Service Glass, a role she took over from her father, Eric Weichert. It has been three years now and she says it was a process that they prepared for by getting outside assistance on how to do it successfully. You need to be ready for the emotional side of the change and transition that you might not be aware of.
"So Eric and I got to a point where we could honestly communicate. Because of our interactions with Aileron, we each had business coaches who were challenging us to be vulnerable and truthful in what we were saying and how we were saying it to each other," explained Ann Welly, president of All Service Glass.
Welly says business is good. They are experiencing growth and adding services to better serve the Lima community.
