Wapak man in court for aggravated murder

A $5 million bond remains in place for the Wapakoneta man charged in the brutal murder of Charles Hicks.

26 year old Aaron Dietrich Sr. appearing in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court for an arraignment.

Dietrich's lawyer declined to enter pleas on his client's behalf which include aggravated murder  aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and intimidation of a witness.  So, the court entered not guilty pleas instead.

Dietrich faces the charges along with 30 year old Joseph Furry of Van Wert and 28 year old James Dinsmore of Lima.  All three could face the death penalty.

During the hearing, prosecutors said Dietrich and the other men wanted to silence Hicks concerning a crime committed by the mother of Dietrich's children.

Hicks was found murdered in his Uniopolis apartment, on June ninth. Â
