WAPAKONETA, OH (WLIO) -The community of Wapakoneta gathered today at Wapak First Church for their 123rd annual election dinner.
The annual dinner that opened doors to all included homemade turkey with all the trimmings, salad, and pie. As you can imagine, there were many people that were involved to make this dinner happen. With all the proceeds going towards not just the food, but to help the church with any needs, while helping the broader Wapakoneta community.
“It’s just a wonderful opportunity for the people to come have a meal and enjoy some interaction with folks. And really in all honesty, people look forward to the eating part of it because it’s an opportunity for them to see people every year that they really want to spend time socializing with,” added Kim Metz, Event Coordinator.
The Wapak First Church looks forward to bringing the community together each and every year to break bread, enjoy some food, and catch up with some familiar faces.
