"Right now, we're still waiting on a farm bill to get passed, which is very crucial to the work that we do. It's crucial to the snap program which many people need that assistance just to help get them through the month with their food budgets, so it's very important for people to just understand what the food insecurity is within our area. For example, we served more individuals last year than what we did during COVID, and that's when everything was shutting down and there was so much uncertainty, and our numbers just continue to rise," said Tommie Harner, CEO of West Ohio Food Bank.
