LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A local business has been working to raise money to help feed those less fortunate.
Wings and Rings presented a check of over $1,800 to the West Ohio Food Bank today. The donation comes from eight fundraisers they held throughout the year, their Monday night classic car and bike cruise-in events. 10% of all food sales during these events was collected to donate to the food bank. The Wings and Rings general manager says their business is grateful to have the opportunity to support others in the community.
"I think it's very important to contribute to the West Ohio Food Bank because they contribute to everybody that holds our community together and us to be able to be a part of that I think is a great thing," said Adam Ruiz, general manager of Wings and Rings.
Wings and Rings has been working with the West Ohio Food Bank for several years and plans to continue to support their mission.
