A west-central Ohio bank has officially opened their doors and expanded to serve residents on the east side of Lima! First National Bank hosted the grand opening celebration of their second Lima facility located at 1991 Bellefontaine Road where banking services as well as mortgage and commercial lending departments will be offered. Many Lima leaders including Mayor Sharetta Smith and Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Jed Metzger, attended Monday's celebration as services from the west side location on Eastown Road are closer to home for east side residents.

Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Union Bank in Kalida Saturday morning.
The FBI Northeast Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, and the Kalida Police Department say that on Saturday at 11 A.M a male approached the victim teller with a black handgun and demanded money.
It was announced today that they are merging with HTM Area Credit Union in Troy. This brings HTM's 3,600 members into the fold with Superior's of nearly 100,000 members. HTM members will gain access to Superior's 23 Ohio branches and superior members will be able to access HTM's Troy location.
As part of Unclaimed Funds Month, the Division is running a hashtag challenge, #ClaimMyMoney, asking Ohioans to share a photo of themselves with the unclaimedfunds.ohio.gov website showing that they searched their name along with the hashtag. The Division is safeguarding more than $3 billion in unclaimed funds. In the last year, the Division returned more than $134 million in missing money to their rightful owners.
The number of individuals relying on credit cards continues to skyrocket, and as interest rates climb, that debt only gets more expensive. The Allen County Land Bank says that the 2023 budget could allow them to move forward with their home improvement project, where residents can contact the land bank and request help in repairing parts of their homes. The land bank also says that this year could see positives when it comes to funding other projects in the local area.
