BLUFFTON — The Lima Junior Golf tour wrapped up its regular season with the First National Bank Open at Bluffton Golf Club, and two familiar names found themselves atop the leaderboard once again.
St. John's Tyce McClain captured his second straight event title with a one-under-par finish, giving him the edge in the final Player of the Year standings. Sidney’s Jake Scully finished just one shot back in second place after recording five birdies on the day.
Upper Sandusky’s Seth Smith turned in a resilient performance that included a pair of birdies, while St. Marys’ Blake Dingledine closed strong with back-to-back birdies to finish his round.
Bluffton’s own Coby Dailey gave the hometown fans something to cheer about with a long birdie putt on 17.
On the girls side, New Bremen’s Allison Trego shot five-over with three birdies to win the event title. Lewistown’s Alex Kinney finished her day with a par and secured second place in the overall points standings.
The tour now looks ahead to its championship event to close out the summer season.
