The City of Lima and Lima Memorial Health System will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park. The annual event encourages community engagement by giving residents the opportunity to meet first responders while enjoying food, activities and fellowship.

The City of Lima has approved funding for the fourth phase of its lead service line replacement program, keeping the project ahead of the federal timeline. City officials say more than 1,300 lead service lines have already been replaced, with phase four expected to begin in March 2027.

The City of Lima will receive $4.1 million from Ohio's 2027-2028 capital improvement budget to fund six projects aimed at enhancing parks, recreation facilities and public gathering spaces. Planned improvements include ADA upgrades, playground equipment, renovations at several city landmarks and the redevelopment of the Cheryl Allen Community Center.
