On Saturday, June 7, and again on Saturday, June 14, dumpsters will be available at various ward locations for residents to use free of charge.
Bath High School’s Interact Club, sponsored by the Lima Rotary Club, is 75 members strong and committed to giving back. While each student is required to complete at least 24 hours of community service per year, many go far beyond that.
“You can bring tires, brush, junk furniture, but do not bring any hazardous waste or chemicals,” said Angie Rex, a property maintenance code inspector. “Paint can be accepted if it has been dried out or treated with kitty litter. If it’s still in liquid form, we won’t take it.”
Volunteers were on a mission to pick up trash to help keep the Ottawa River clean.
The annual cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, ahead of the festival on April 12. Volunteers will spend the morning raking, weeding, and picking up trash to prepare the park for the celebration.
The fish fry will take place Friday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dinners, catered by Old Barn Out Back, are $15 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Ottawa River Coalition. A silent auction and a 50/50 drawing will also return.

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Now that spring has arrived, it's time to do some spring cleaning.
283 residents dropped off items filling 44 dumpsters. More than 2,700 tires were collected, and 104 cubic yards of brush was collected with 126 volunteers assisting at a total of 19 dumpsters location. The city wants to thank Rumpke for their help in providing the dumpsters.
