Six locations across the city will host dumpsters where residents can drop off various items. The program has proven successful in helping residents tidy up their homes and neighborhoods.

“You can bring tires, brush, junk furniture, but do not bring any hazardous waste or chemicals,” said Angie Rex, a property maintenance code inspector. “Paint can be accepted if it has been dried out or treated with kitty litter. If it’s still in liquid form, we won’t take it.”

Rex noted that brush and tires will only be accepted at the 900 South Collett Street location. The other five sites will accept most other items.

Additional cleanup dates are scheduled for May 17, June 7 and June 14, with six locations open each day from 9 a.m. to noon.
