Activate Allen County has once again teamed up with Mercy Health to host the annual “Healthy Families Expo” at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center this Saturday.
“Not everybody has access to get to providers, to get to resources. So this event really is in the heart of downtown Lima area, and is in walking distance of a lot of different neighborhoods and it all. It puts it all in one spot,” said Catherine Lusky, community health coordinator at Mercy Health–St. Rita’s.
Grand Lake Health System hosted its third annual Kids’ Health Fair at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. Each year, the event features a different theme, and this year’s was a “Kids Carnival of Health,” complete with bouncy houses, live animals and other activities.

When calls are received, caseworkers assess the situation to evaluate any risk to the safety and well-being of the alleged victims. If a risk is identified, caseworkers collaborate with families, social service agencies and other community resources to meet the individual's needs and improve their circumstances.
