The last City Wide Pride dumpster sites will be from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday. There will be 4 sites across the city that you can dispose of a wide variety of items to help you clean up your home, property, or neighborhood. Residents will have to unload their own vehicles, so bring help if needed. This dumpster day runs along with the city's Community Impact Week to get residents to do something as simple as picking up trash to make an impact in the community.

The Lima Neighborhood Concerns Committee met on Wednesday to discuss a commercial trash pickup complaint. Lima residents who live on Nixon Avenue recently complained of hearing loud noises early in the morning when the dumpster truck comes to pick up trash at the Lima Convalescent Home. There’s currently an ordinance put in place that requires commercial trash pick-ups to begin no earlier than 6 a.m. But residents are claiming that the trucks are coming before that time. The committee said this is an issue that needs to be addressed and are currently working on a solution.
