Mayor of Lima's first spring clean-up is May 14th

This Saturday kicks off the mayor of Lima's first spring clean-up.

It's a free opportunity for Lima residents to make space in their homes and garages. They hope the cleanup encourages residents to also tackle their yard as the dumpster at 900 South Collett Street will be for brush and tires. You can drop off pretty much anything at the dumpsters but they will not accept any hazardous waste, no appliances, or large furniture.

We have dumpsters all over the city, so people can come and do their spring cleaning," commented Sydni Winkler, Neighborhood Specialist. "Clean their houses out, clean their garage, basements, attics, get everything that they don't want out."

Dumpsters will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on May 14th at the following locations:

-1571 Allentown Road

-315 South Collins Avenue

-715 West Market Street

-900 South Collett Street
