May 29, 2024, Press Release from Allen County Public Health: The Allen County Youth Bike and Pedestrian Task Force and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Neighborhood Association will be participating in the Mayor’s Spring Clean Up by hosting a dumpster and cleaning up the MLK Jr. Park on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Community members will be able to bring eligible items to the dumpster located in the parking lot of the Gene Wright Community Health Center (441 E. 8th Street) from 9-12pm. For more information about eligible items, please call Sydni Winkler at 419-221-5177.
The park cleanup will run from 10-12pm. Gloves, bags, and grabbers will be provided. This event is open to all ages – with youth under 12 years of age supervised by a parent or guardian. Light refreshments will be available after the cleanup.
