It brought cultures from around the world together bringing understanding and friendship to those who attended. The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce will host the Multicultural Expo again this year. Last year, hundreds of people came out to experience the culture of others in the Lima area. Organizers say the response of those in attendance, especially the kids, was memorable.

It was announced today at the Lima Rotary that the stage at the Greater Lima Region Amphitheater will be known as the "Pangle Pavilion". Howard Pangle bought his first grocery in 1924 and his family has continued in the business world with many different opportunities. The Kriegle-Pangle family continues to make significant contributions to the Lima region.

The Lima Rotary Club got an update on the project at their meeting on Monday, the stormwater sewers and the water lines have been run to the project. The foundation has been laid for the amphitheater and for the restroom and the cinder blocks have started to go down for both. The project got a big boost last month as it got $800 thousand dollars from the state as part of the capital budget. That means the main part of the project is fully funded and ready to benefit the community.

The Shawnee Noon Optimists learned more about projects that are underway in downtown Lima. Tracie Sanchez was the speaker of this afternoon's meeting,  giving more details on the Greater Lima Region amphitheater, as well as some of the projects going into available space on Central Avenue.
