The Allen County Republican Party will host its annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on April 3 at the UNOH Event Center, featuring U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno as the keynote speaker. The event will also celebrate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, with attendees receiving a commemorative pin.

This year's keynote speech will be given by U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Graham spoke at the Allen County Republican's last rally in 2019. US Congressman Jim Jordan will also be speaking at the event to show his support for US Senate candidate J.D. Vance. Due to the pandemic, the Allen County Republican Party has not held this rally in a couple of years, and Party Chairman Keith Cheney is thankful to have the BBQ Rally back.

With the retirement of Margie Murphy Miller, the position is now open. Republican Chairman Keith Cheney says they are now accepting resumes for the position. The Allen County Commissioners will appoint an interim clerk of courts on September 1st. Once resumes are received, reviewed and interviews have been done a recommendation will be sent to the Allen County Republican Central Committee.

To become a county commissioner, applicants must be at least 18 years old, a registered Republican voter, and a resident of Allen County. To apply, resumes should be sent to the Republican office at 3111 West Elm Street, Lima, OH 45805 or emailed to republicans@allencountyohiogop.com.

Individuals in the crowd were recognized for their hard work on the campaign trails over the last year. At the Republican Victory Center, members volunteered more than 4,000 hours, which led the party to win all of its county races. While the party's chairman, Keith Cheney, is concerned with the election at a national level, he is pleased with how voting turned out locally.
