LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Vice President JD Vance is returning to Lima to rally Republicans during an upcoming state party dinner.
Vice President Vance will serve as the keynote speaker at the Ohio Republican Dinner at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center on June 24.
The Vice President has been traveling internationally to promote President Trump’s policies, assist with trade deals, and work on diplomatic efforts, including visiting Pope Francis a day before his passing.
Vance is the first Vice President from Ohio in nearly 100 years, and local Republicans say they are glad he is returning to the area to speak to supporters.
“Vice President Vance has done an exceptional job. To be on the convention floor when he was nominated as Trump's running mate was with just one of those memories you'll never forget. So, we were excited to have him here in Northwest Ohio, and that was one of the things that he made clear to his staff that when he returned to Ohio, he wanted to come to Northwest Ohio, and so we're pretty excited with that,” said Keith Cheney, chairman of the Allen County Republican Party.
The Ohio Republican Party Dinner featuring Vice President JD Vance as keynote speaker is scheduled for June 24 at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.
Tickets are $75 per person and will go on sale Tuesday, June 17, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Allen County Republican Office, located at 3111 W. Elm St., Lima or online.
