“So it's a great opportunity to lift that financial barrier, and that's what our mission is at the university, to be able to have access, make it affordable, of course, with our academic excellence,” said Bryan Albright, assistant dean of student success. “But this just lifts that financial barrier for students who are very excited, where students don't have to worry about financing their education, they can just focus on their academic studies.”

“This is an opportunity at these different ages to get them interested in science and hopefully keep that,” said Mark Kleffner, associate dean at OSU Lima and professor of earth sciences. “They’ll see it’s fun, and that’s one of the things I really enjoy so much as a teacher—turning students on to a subject that many people think is not a fun subject when it actually is.”
