Lima Senior Spartan fans were able to show their support before the big state championship game this weekend through a pep rally.
It was all about celebrating success at Heritage Elementary School on Friday.
The Lima City Schools community came together Tuesday evening to celebrate Public Schools Week.
Superintendent Jill Ackerman announced that this year’s event will begin with a pep rally aimed at reinforcing the importance of public school education and showcasing the district’s achievements.
Lima City School educators and staff are ready to have fun as they gear up for the 2024-2025 school year. On Tuesday, it was a pep rally atmosphere at Lima Senior, as all of the school district staff were on hand for the school year kick-off. Besides the cheerleaders, band, and choir, nationally recognized speaker and author Jack Berckemeyer brought laughter to motivate the staff to have a great school year.
Lima Senior High School will celebrate Homecoming week with several activities for students, staff and the community. The week will begin with an All Fall Sports Community Pep Rally and Bonfire at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, beginning in the Lima Senior Gymnasium. This is a new addition to Homecoming Week and the community is invited to participate.
A small group of students from all the buildings in the Lima City School district came together to say thank you to all of the law enforcement with a pep rally. The students made signs and cheered on the Lima Police, Allen County Sheriff's Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Park Rangers, and the hospital's campus' officers. The Heritage show choir also performed during the pep rally.
Delphos St. John's concluded their Catholic Schools Week with a big hoo-rah! At the end of the day, the entire school filed into the gym for a pep rally. The pep rally included cheering, dancing, music, and singing. Seminarian Joseph gave a presentation of the four important words of Catholic Schools Week: learn, serve, lead, succeed. The school hopes the students will take these principles with them when they serve the Delphos community and wherever God takes them in their lives.
Lima Senior and LCC weren't the only ones celebrating victories today, the Lima Sharks also had something to write home about.
