As part of the event, the hospital will provide e-waste recycling bins for the public to drop off unwanted electronic items. Accepted items include cellphones, laptops, radios, computer equipment, media devices, small appliances, and more. The goal is to reduce landfill waste and promote environmental responsibility.

December 6, 2024, Press Release from U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lima: LIMA, Ohio — U-Haul® recently completed its adaptive reuse of the former Kmart® building at 2200 Allentown Road, and is now serving customers at the new home of U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lima. The 13.4-acre property was acquired in 2023. U-Haul opened for business at the 104,685-square-foot facility on Nov. 18. Implementation of the U-Haul Adaptive Reuse program led to the ecofriendly repurposing of a vacant big-box store into a state-of-the-art retail, moving and self-storage facility that offers 700 indoor climate-controlled storage units with high-tech security features at affordable price points.

Area fire departments have been battling a fire all night at a scrap metal recycling center in Auglaize County. Cridersville Fire Department was called out to B and G Auto Recycling just after 11 p.m. Thursday night. The fire was at the rear of the facility, where there were old buses and plastics located. The fire was seen from above the trees. Thirteen departments from Auglaize, Allen, and Shelby counties responded with tankers and manpower. Wapakoneta and Shawnee Township had aerial trucks hit the fire from above.

The Findlay ReStore is looking to save the environment one electronic at a time. Electronic Recycling Day brought out dozens of people looking to recycle their old electronics.

TVs and computer monitors are just some of the items that people drop off to be recycled. Through this initiative restore is looking to prevent the harsh chemicals and materials from these electronics from entering the city water.
