HANCOCK COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - Hancock County 4-H members are finding creative ways to recycle by collecting plastic lids and bottle caps at the Oakwoods Nature Preserve Discovery Center.

Hancock County 4-H turns plastic caps into fairground furniture

The 4-H group has been working on this recycling project for more than five years.

The recycled materials will be used to make benches and tables for the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The 4-H group has been working on this recycling project for more than five years. To build one bench, approximately 400 pounds of plastic caps are required. At the Discovery Center, children also explored different ways to recycle bottles and jugs, learning how to reduce waste while contributing to community projects.
