39-year-old Leroy Foster was sentenced on a single charge of felonious assault, with a three-year gun specification. Foster accepted a plea deal if prosecutors agree to drop a repeat violent offender specification that he was indicted on. Even though he claims he is innocent, Foster could have faced 21 years in prison if a jury found him guilty on everything, so he opted for the six-year plea deal.

The truth is in the facts and the Lima Chapter of the NAACP will be asking for the documents. Reverend Ron Fails and others from the NAACP gathered outside the Allen County Children Services building asking why two fathers have not been reunited with their children. The dads say they have finished all the class work and other requirements the agency asks them to do and they are still waiting to be with their kids. Both say the children were placed in foster care because of the actions of their mothers.

According to the prosecutors, back in November of 2021, Castle went to the Kenton home of the 7-year-old girl, got her to go outside, and get into his van. He then proceeded to take her to his trailer, where he allegedly had sexual contact with her and strangled her. Even though he was talking to law enforcement and being questioned about the missing girl during the search, he moved the girl from his trailer to an abandoned home outside of Kenton and tossed her down the stairs to the basement.

The United States Supreme Court have overturned Roe V. Democrats on the Ohio Redistricting Commission are pushing hard to get a set of 10-year legislative maps passed that reflect the state's partisan breakdown. After 90 minutes of sharp back-and-forth, Republicans who control the panel voted unanimously to reject it. The drama unfolded Thursday as a court-imposed midnight deadline nears. Now late today, Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman issued a statement pinning the blame on Democrats on the redistricting commission

53-year-old Frank Alexander was sentenced after an Allen County jury found him guilty of 17 counts, including 10 counts of rape. There were three victims and the offenses occurred over a ten-year period starting in 2008. Two of the victims were under the age of 10 when the offenses started. Alexander didn't make any statement on the advice of his attorney because he is planning on appealing the conviction. But prosecutors say he did admit to lima police detectives what he did to the victims.
