Thousands of people in the area lost power after Wednesday night's storms, but are slowly getting it back as AEP crews work their way around the area. The City of Lima spent most of their Thursday picking up the damage caused by Wednesday night’s storms. Unlike other recent storms we’ve seen, most of the damage seemed to be concentrated in specific areas. “The damage seems to be localized between the area of Metcalf and Cable and approximately south of Allentown Road to Spencerville Road for the city,” said Director of Public Works Howard Elstro. “We understand that some of the outlying communities have also been affected."

In Lima, a busy night for first responders with flooding reported at some underpasses, multiple trees and power lines also reported down.

It sounded like the windows were going to bust out, sounded like the wind was going to fly off."
