The city of Lima has introduced its final Local History Hunt trail, highlighting sites connected to health and well-being across the community. Participants can complete all five trails to earn commemorative lapel pins, with details available online and in print.
“This is something pretty cool,” said Troy Elwer, promotions and operations manager for the Allen County Fair. “We actually have lighting up here to where you can even see him really well in the evenings. But yes, he is fully open for business. So I encourage any of you to come up and interact with him, get your photos, get your videos, and get your chance at a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) - One of the biggest festivals in the area is back for another year.
The Armstrong Air & Space Museum welcomed its 3 millionth visitor, marking a major milestone in the museum’s history since opening in 1972.
“I tell you what, the whole goal with this project, and having the partnership with Visit Greater Lima, is not only to have a celebratory piece for our 175th anniversary this year, but we really wanted to find a fun and creative way to drive tourism right here to Lima and Allen County — and I think we’re achieving that with this project,” Elwer said.
Visit Greater Lima is excited to announce the 2025 Destination Development Grant recipients.
A Lunch and Learn event was held on Thursday to showcase all that the Greater Lima area has to offer.
