November 11, 2024, press release from the Armstrong Air & Space Museum: WAPAKONETA, OHIO – On Friday, Governor Mike DeWine’s office announced the re-appointment of Armstrong Air & Space Museum curator and communications director, Logan Rex, to the TourismOhio Advisory Board. Rex will serve on the board for an additional three years, having previously been appointed to a one year term last September.

“I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to continue serving the people of Ohio in this role,” says Rex. “I would like to thank Governor DeWine and his office for their continued support and trust in my ability to help promote Ohio as the heart of it all. I encourage everyone, residents and visitors alike, to take a deeper dive and explore all the amazing experiences the Buckeye State has to offer.”

The TourismOhio Advisory Board is comprised of industry leaders, experts, and advocates committed to promoting Ohio as a premier destination to live, work, and explore. Board members work together with the Director of Development and the Director of TourismOhio to enhance the state’s tourism strategy, offering advice and support on marketing initiatives. Last year alone, the economic impact of tourism in Ohio was over $56 billion with over $4.6 billion dollars raised in state and local tax revenues.

Rex has been with the Armstrong Air & Space Museum since 2019, having been in charge of a number of new exhibitions and marketing campaigns. A lifelong Ohioan, Rex is a 2014 graduate of Bath High School in Lima and received his degree in political science and history from Ashland University in 2018. Rex also currently sits on the National Aviation Heritage Area Communications Council and is a representative on the City of Wapakoneta Comprehensive Planning Commission.
