A big week is ahead for the Allen County Fair - manager Troy Elwer gives us some highlights!
The 175th Allen County Fair officially opened its gates this afternoon.
Troy Elwer, the fair’s promotions and operations manager, spoke Monday at the Lima Rotary Club, giving an update on preparations at the fairgrounds for the big event.
“We felt like it was a really cool way to kind of commemorate this year's celebratory year, being the 175th,” said Troy Elwer, Promotions and Operations Manager. “The way that you can actually purchase that merchandise, if you go to our website at allencofair.com you'll see a scrolling screen at the top that says, fair wear. You click on that and you can make your purchases online.”
This initiative builds on recent improvements to the fairgrounds, including adult changing tables and automatic door openers — all part of an ongoing effort to make the fair more accessible to all.
