"I’m just impressed because our students do this whole thing," Will Snyder said, principal of the school. "They put it together. They build it from the ground up. And to have to do something new is—I’m just really impressed with what they’re doing and really proud to be a redskin."

Three more cases have been confirmed, with 2 in the high school and 1 in the middle school. This totals their cases to four. However, school officials say that isn't the problem, but rather the number of students having to quarantine. Superintendent of Wapakoneta City Schools, Aaron Rex, says if these numbers continue to increase, going virtual is their last resort, and their goal is to keep students in the classroom as long as possible.

Two lucky students from Wapakoneta Middle School got to see a day in the life of a police officer. The students followed around an officer from the Wapakoneta Police Department and saw the different training scenarios he goes through with his K9. A lucky assistant principal also took part in the day, helping out as the subject in one of the scenarios. K9 Rico is retiring after nine years. The officer is buying a new dog and the students wanted to help out. These two students were the lucky winners of a two-week contest that helped to raise funds for the officer's new dog.

The artist who has been working on a statue of Neil Armstrong visited Wapakoneta Middle School Wednesday. Sculptor Michael Tizzano created a life-size statue of Neil Armstrong that will be installed in Wapakoneta's downtown this summer during the 50th anniversary celebration.
