On September 29, 2025 the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the US Post Office, confiscated one kilo of fentanyl as part of an ongoing investigation.

On Wednesday, April 03, 2024, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force in a joint effort with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI’s North West Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, and the Lima Police Department’s S.W.A.T. Team, served a narcotics related search warrant at 612 Marian Avenue.

Four Lima residents were arrested as a result of multiple drug search warrants that were executed on Monday. Mychal Thomas Liles, Lashane Liles, Demontay De Quinn Liles, and Marcus Delvon Brown were arrested and booked into the Allen County Jail on a felony 1 charge of Possession of Fentanyl greater than 100 grams.

Ronald Hesseling, II, Eric Upthegrove, Jr, and Nicoya Darby, all of Lima, were arrested on the weekend of September 11th and 12th on drug-related charges after an 18-month investigation. Their cases will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury for additional charges. The local task force worked alongside the FBI's Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force during the investigation.

34-year-old Adam Amsler and 28-year-old Autumn Swift were charged with Possession of Schedule I or II Narcotic and are in the Allen County Jail. The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the Allen County Sheriff's deputies pulled Amsler over on Friday after a traffic violation. A drug K9 was called in and detected the scent of drugs. A search was conducted, and deputies found large amounts of meth, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and cash. The case will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury for possible additional charges.

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force arresting 2 people during a drug raid Friday.  Dakota Williams and Sarah Williams were taken into custody on drug charges at a home on in the 600 block of Flanders Avenue in Lima.   During the search of the home, law enforcement found prescription pills, suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and money.  The case will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury for additional charges.
