The West Ohio Food Bank is seeking additional volunteers during the summer months as participation typically declines due to vacations and school breaks. Officials say volunteers can serve for as little as an hour and will be matched with opportunities that fit their schedules and interests.
Wings and Rings donated $6,324.50 to the West Ohio Food Bank from proceeds generated during last summer’s Car and Bike Nights, helping provide thousands of meals to area residents in need.
The West Ohio Food Bank's annual Resource Fair drew nearly 1,000 people to the Allen County Fairgrounds to connect residents with valuable community services and support programs.
Following the fair, nearly 200,000 pounds of food and household products were distributed with the help of more than 70 volunteers.

Students at St. Gerard Catholic School helped the West Ohio Food Bank with donations, as well as stocking food into cars of those in need.
The West Ohio Food Bank is asking residents to support its “Spark Change” campaign, running through May 3 at Walmart and Sam’s Club. Donations made through checkout options and online giving will help provide food to families in need across the region.
